Renowned Indian cricketer and former head coach of the Indian team, Ravi Shastri visited Sri Krishna Matha, where he sought the blessings of Lord Krishna and Mukyaprana.

During his visit, he had the privilege of receiving blessings from Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripada and younger Seer Sushindra Theertha Sripada.

The occasion was marked by the initiation of one of the main projects of Paryaya Sripada, along with expressions of appreciation for the Koti Gita Lekhana Yajna.

Pujya Puttige Junior Sripada adorned the Bal Krishna of Udupi in various unique ways, coinciding with the hundredth day of decoration. The significance of this event was underscored by the parallel drawn to Shastri’s achievements in the cricketing world, notably his “century” knocks. It was indeed a moment of surprise and delight for devotees to witness Shastri, a devout follower of Sri Krishna, seeking blessings at the revered Sri Krishna Matha.

Shastri, in turn, shared a message with devotees, urging them to engage in the sacred Koti Gita Lekhana Yajna — writing the Bhagavad Gita, inspired by their own inner calling.

The gathering was graced by the presence of Prasanna Acharya, Secretary of the Math, alongside Vadiraja Pejattaya Lathavya Acharya and Vinaya Bannanje.
