Udupi: ISRO scientists’ remarkable achievement of soft landing the Vikram lander of Chandrayaan-3 on the South Pole of the lunar surface is garnering abundant praise.
In honour of this achievement, artists from Udupi built a massive sand sculpture at Malpe Beach.
The captivating sand sculpture depicts the Moon atop a sand dune and a map of India at the bottom, with the Chandrayaan 3 rocket carrying Vikram lander and Pragyan rover in between. ‘Congratulations ISRO,’ reads a message.
The sculpture was meticulously crafted by artists Harish Saga, Santhosh Bhatt Haladi, and Ujwal Nitte, who worked collaboratively from early morning to afternoon on August 24. This unique artwork by the ‘Sand Theme Udupi’ team has swiftly become a major attraction for tourists visiting the beach.
