Udupi: School bus driver, who ensured student’s safety after heart attack, dies in hospital

A driver who ensured the safety of the children on board the school bus after he suffered a minor heart attack passed away a day after at the hospital on Thursday, June 6 morning.

On Wednesday, the school bus driver Alwyn was coming from Perampalli School towards Manipal when he experienced a minor heart attack. Alwyn’s timely action ensured the safety of the students on the bus. Five students however sustained minor injuries in the incident

The assistant staff on the bus immediately arranged for another vehicle and rushed Alwyn to a private hospital in Manipal for treatment. He however died on Thursday.
