Udupi: Senior journalist Jayakar Suvarna passes away

Udupi: Jayakar Suvarna, the former president of the Udupi District Working Journalists Association and a Doordarshan reporter from Kalmadi, passed away on August 5 due to a heart attack. He was 67 years old.
He is survived by his wife, one son, and two daughters.
Suvarna was also the vice president of the South Kanara Photographers Association and was actively involved in several organizations.
