Team Udayavani, Oct 5, 2024, 9:47 AM IST

Udupi: Nearly a week after the serial thefts in Udupi’s 31st Bailooru Ward, police investigating the case have secured CCTV footage of three masked individuals moving suspiciously around the area.

The suspects had covered their heads with white cloths. Although their movement was captured outside a compound wall, the police have yet to trace their whereabouts after this point.

The police have reviewed footage from various shops and homes in the vicinity, but no further clues have emerged regarding their escape route. The suspects had allegedly made off with over Rs 9 lakhs worth of gold and cash during the night of September 29. Despite a week passing since the incident, the police have not yet received any concrete leads.

Authorities are continuing to investigate by examining CCTV footage from multiple locations and relying on technical evidence to track down the accused. While suspicions are high on a few individuals, it has been reported that a police team has traveled to North India in pursuit of these leads.
