Udupi: Shobha Karandlaje reviews Covid-19, Cyclone Tauktae situation in the district

Udupi: MP Shobha Karandlaje reviewed the Covid-19 situation and Cyclone Tauktae preparations in the district on Sunday
She held a review meeting at the DC office and gathered information from the officials regarding the allotment of beds, oxygen supply, Remdesivir supply, and vaccine administration
During the meeting, she also contacted district in-charge minister, Basavaraj Bommai through video conference and urged him to ensure an adequate supply of oxygen, Remdesivir, and other medicines
Kaup MLA, Lalaji R Mendon, Additional deputy commissioner, Sadashiva Prabhu, Zilla panchayat chief executive officer, Dr. Y Naveen Bhat, and Zilla panchayat planning officer, A Srinivas Rao participated
Karandlaje further reviewed preparations being made at various places to handle Cyclone Tauktae and asked the officials to shift those residing near the sea.
Karkala MLA, V Sunil Kumar, deputy commissioner, G Jagadeesha, district superintendent of police, Vishnuvardhan, sub-divisional officer, Raju, district health officer, Dr Sudhir Chandra Sooda, district surgeon, Madhusudan Nayak, district Covid officer, Dr Prashanth Bhat, and other officials were present.
