Udupi: Skeletal remains of a 30-year-old man who had gone missing nine months ago were found at Hiriyadka.
The deceased has been identified as Nagaraj (30), son of Manjunatha Achari, a resident of Perdoor Pakkalu.
Reportedly, Nagaraj had gone missing in August last year, a case regarding this was filed in Hiriyadka police station.
Though police and other locals searched for him everywhere, he could not be traced.
On May 7, a skull, bones, and a black colour pant along with two empty plastic bottles were found in the barren land.
Nagaraj’s family members confirmed the pant was indeed that of missing Nagaraj.
It was suspected that Nagaraj must have killed himself by drinking poison from the plastic bottle that was found on the spot or by hanging himself.
Hiriyadka police are investigating the case.
