Udupi: Sri Krishna Gitanubhava Mantapa inaugurated

Udupi: The Sri Krishna Gitanubhava Mantapa was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Geetha Mandira in Rajangana as part of the Makar Sankranti celebrations.
Australian MP John Mullahy lauded the contributions of the Indian community, particularly the Sri Puthige Matha’s efforts, during the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mullahy praised the Matha’s community outreach during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. He mentioned that 6% of his constituency’s population comprises Indians, with many actively participating in cultural activities.
Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji emphasized the universal relevance of the Bhagavad Gita, likening its message of victory (Vikrama) to the Australian state of Victoria, represented by Mulhall. He expressed hope for deeper spiritual connections between India and Australia.
The event also featured insights from CBSE director Jayaprakash Chaturvedi, who highlighted the Bhagavad Gita’s extensive translations and its scientific relevance in fields like quantum physics and space exploration.
The ceremony concluded with blessings from the junior seer of Sri Puthige Matha, Sri Sushreendra Theertha Swamiji, and the participation of dignitaries, including MLA Goolihatti Shetty and representatives from Australia.
