Udupi: Three youths drown at St Mary’s Island in Malpe

Udupi: Three engineering students who had gone swimming in the sea at St Mary’s Island in Malpe drowned on Thursday, April 7.
The deceased have been identified as Allen Reji (22), Amal C Anil (22) and Antony Shenoy (22).
It is said that the students were on a college trip along with 42 other students and two lecturers. The trio allegedly went to swim in a dangerous spot at the sea and drowned.
Two out of three bodies have been recovered.
