Udupi: Two held for selling whisky illegally

Udupi: Two people who were trying to sell whisky and violating the lockdown were arrested by the city police.

The arrested have been identified as Sunil Sherigar (36), a resident of Marpalli, Alevoor, and Sudhir Naik (28) of Herga.

As per sources, the duo was transporting whisky in an auto-rickshaw and trying to sell bottles of whisky among the public near Lake View Hotel at Adarsh Nagar in Manipal.

Based on credible information, DCIB police inspector Manjappa D R along with his team raided the spot and found the accused with whisky bottles in the auto-rickshaw.
