Udupi: Two laborers killed as granite slab collapses

A devastating tragedy unfolded in the vicinity of Thottam, near Malpe city, on Thursday, September 14, resulting in the loss of two laborers’ lives. The fatal incident occurred when a massive granite slab came crashing down on them during the unloading process from a truck.
The victims have been identified as Babulla and Bhaskar, both believed to be in the age range of 30 to 35 years. Their lives were tragically cut short in the course of their laborious work.
The exact circumstances leading to this heart-wrenching accident are currently under investigation, with authorities seeking to ascertain the sequence of events that led to the fatal mishap.
