Udupi Uchila Dasara – 2024: Invitation Release Ceremony Held at Uchila Sri Mahalaxmi Temple

Kapu: The invitation release ceremony for the “Udupi Uchila Dasara – 2024,” organized by the Mogaveera Mahajana Sangha, was held on Tuesday, August 27, at the Uchila Sri Mahalaxmi Temple.

Dr. G. Shankar, Honorary Advisor of the Dakshina Kannada Mogaveera Mahajana Sangha, released the invitation and announced that the third edition of Uchila Dasara will be celebrated grandly under the banner “Udupi Uchila Dasara” from October 3 to October 12.

He highlighted that the festival will feature a variety of events, including dance performances, wrestling competitions, bodybuilding contests, a women’s tiger dance competition, and group Dandiya performances, making the celebration vibrant and memorable.

The head priest of the temple, K. V. Raghavendra Upadhyaya, conducted a special prayer and offered a ritualistic pooja for the invitation.
