An undertrial prisoner, lodged at the District Jail in Hiriyadka, died of cardiac arrest on Saturday, May 11.
The deceased identified as Anup Shetty (38) was arrested for the murder of Kundapur-based financier Ajendra Shetty. He was arrested and imprisoned at the Hiriyadka sub-jail for two-and-a-half years.
On Saturday, Anoop was taken to a hospital after he complained of chest pain but he died on the way.
