A charred and decomposed body of an unidentified individual was discovered on Thursday in the Indrani stream located near Vidhyodaya School in Bailakere. The gruesome discovery was reported by local resident Sunil Bailkere to social worker Nityanand Olakadu, who quickly arrived at the site.
Upon reaching the location, Olakadu assisted in retrieving the body from the stream. Local police, led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Naveen Devadiga and Head Constable Taranath, initiated a formal investigation, and legal procedures were carried out with the support of Umesh Bailkere.
Authorities are appealing for information and have advised anyone with knowledge about the deceased to reach out to the district hospital.
