Udupi: Woman and her 10-year-old daughter found dead; murder suspected

Hebri: A young woman and her daughter were found dead in a house near Madaga Anganwadi under Hiriadka Police station limits on Monday. Police suspect it to be a case of murder.

The deceased have been identified as Cheluvi (30) and her daughter Priya (10).

Hiriadka police have taken up the investigation into the murders. Killings might have taken place in the early hours on Monday, sources said.

Cheluvi was working as a housekeeping staff at a hospital and was separated from her husband seven years ago, sources added.

There are no suspects named yet, in the case, however, investigations are underway, sources said.
