An elderly woman was killed in an accident that took place on NH-66 when she was crossing the road at Ambagili in Puttur
The deceased identified as Vasanthi Shetty (65), a resident of Hebri Chara village was hit by a Udupi-bound bus when she was on her way to attend a marriage function at Amruth Garden.
Vasanthi was seriously injured in the mishap and died en route to the hospital.
Udupi traffic police have registered a case.
