Udupi woman to participate in R-Day celebrations at Delhi

Sugandhi Naik, a resident of Mullugudde in Shivapura Gram Panchayat of Udupi district, has received the special honor of participating in the Republic Day celebrations to be held in Delhi on January 26.

Sugandhi Naik is a member of the Shivadurga Sanjeevini Okkuta and is actively involved in agriculture, cultivating crops such as arecanut and paddy. Additionally, she has set up a plate manufacturing unit and has become a model for self-reliant living. The Shivadurga Sanjeevini Okkuta, under her leadership, has achieved a remarkable feat by farming on 30 acres of barren land with the support of the Udupi Zilla Panchayat and the Sanjeevini scheme.

Sugandhi Naik, along with her husband Srinivas Naik, will have the privilege of attending the Republic Day celebrations. She expressed gratitude for the Zilla Panchayat and the concerned department officials for facilitating this opportunity.
