Udupi: Youth Congress leader stabbed; suspect in custody

Udupi: A youth Congress leader has been injured after she was stabbed by a miscreant on Friday, January 21 in Udupi.
The injured has been identified as Reena D’Souza (35), Youth Congress general secretary of Kaup block. She has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
It is said that she was stabbed by her neighbor Vinay (36) when she was speaking to someone near her house in Hejamady.
Police officials have taken Vinay into custody. Officials claim that Vinay is a liquor addict and there is no personal enmity between the two.
Further investigations are underway.
