Udyavar: Man killed in drunken brawl

In a tragic incident, a man was killed following a drunken brawl in Pitrodi near Udyavar on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Bharat, has been apprehended by the Kaup police in connection with the murder. The victim has been identified as Dayananda, a 40-year-old resident of Pitrodi.

According to sources, the incident took place outside a bar near Udyavar Pithrodi Old Syndicate Bank, where a trivial issue escalated into a physical fight between Dayanand and Bharat.

In a drunken state, Bharat attacked Dayanand with an iron punch, hitting him on the face, cheek, and head. Dayanand sustained severe injuries and died on his way to the hospital while locals were trying to help him.

Following the incident, Bharat fled the scene, but the police took him into custody with the help of the locals.

A case has been registered at Kapu police station.
