ULB polls: BSY suffers humiliating defeat at his home town

Shikaripura: In Shiralakoppa town panchayat polls, of the 15 seats Congress bagged 12, BJP 8 and independents got 3, theus the state BJP president faced a humiliating defeat at his home town.

Meanwhile, in Shiralakoppa town panchayat, of the 15 seats, Congress won 7 seats, JD(S)3, BJP 2 and independent candidates 3. In this way, the saffron party lost Shikaripur town municipal council and Shiralakoppa town panchayat.

However, BJP won Sagar city municipal council. Of the 31 seats, BJP won 16 seats, Congress 9, JD(S)-1 and independent candidates 5.

The coalition partners won Hosanagar town panchayat. Of the 11 seats, Congress bagged 4, JD(S)-3 and BJP 4. Sorab town panchayat witnessed hung verdict. Of the 12 seats, BJP won 6, Congress 4 and JD(S) 1 and independent candidate-1.
