Ullal: 45-year-old man commits suicide by hanging self

Ullal: A 45-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself in his shop on Monday, April 10.

The deceased has been identified as Praveen Alva, a resident of Kaneeruthotha. He was running a shop near Thokkott Junction for the past seven or eight years and supplied sewing thread and other raw materials to tailors in the area.

As per sources, Alva had been facing financial troubles and left his home at 6:30 am today and was found hanging from a fan inside his shop.

The police recovered a note from the site of the suicide where the deceased wrote, “I am the cause of my suicide.”

Alva is survived by his mother, wife, and son.

The Ullal Police Station has registered a case and is investigating the matter.
