A case has been registered at Ullal Police Station following an attack attempt on a man who was recently released on bail. The incident occurred near the Jio petrol pump on National Highway 66, near KC Road.

On October 17, Arjun Madur, a Hindu leader from Ullal, had gone to the Ullal Police Station to settle a road accident case involving Sharath Kumpala. During discussions with Inspector, an argument escalated, leading to an altercation between Arjun and Asif, a resident of Hosanagara, Kerala. Following the incident, Hindu organization members gathered outside the Ullal Police Station to protest, leading to Asif’s arrest.

Asif was granted bail on November 7 and was on his way home to Hosanagara in Kerala after being released from Mangalore Jail. Around 9:30 PM, as his car reached KC Road, a group of eight men on four motorcycles intercepted him. The assailants, all wearing helmets and armed with eggs and swords, reportedly struck Asif’s car, causing damage to the windshield. As the bikers continued to follow the vehicle, Asif managed to escape by heading straight to Talapady toll gate and then sought protection at Manjeshwar Police Station.

The case was officially registered at Ullal Police Station two days after the incident.
