Ullal: Auto driver arrested for peddling MDMA

Mangaluru: Ullal police nabbed an auto-rickshaw driver on charges of peddling the illegal synthetic drug MDMA.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Sharif alias Faizal, a resident of Shantibagh.

Police said that Faizal was arrested from Bagambila in Kumpala on credible information that drugs were being sold openly in the area.

As much as 12 grams of MDMA, two mobile phone, and an autorickshaw used for peddling drugs were seized. The estimated total value of the goods seized is around Rs 95,000, police said.

It is said that Faizal drove the autorickshaw recklessly, often speeding, and causing inconvenience in the Ullal locality.
