Ullal: Police have arrested Bajrang Dal coordinator Arjun Madoor in connection with a retaliatory sword attack on an accused, Muhammad Asif, who had previously assaulted him.

The incident unfolded as Asif, a resident of Hosangadi Kadambaru in Kerala, was leaving jail on bail after being arrested for attacking Arjun.

The altercation began following a road accident on the Thokkottu flyover, which escalated to a scuffle at the Ullal police station. Muhammad Asif reportedly attacked Arjun inside the inspector’s chamber when the latter arrived at the station to assist a friend.

In response to the attack on Arjun, Hindu activists staged a midnight protest outside the Ullal police station, demanding justice. Subsequently, Asif was arrested. However, when he was released on bail and traveling back to Hosangadi on November 8, unidentified assailants allegedly armed with swords pursued him near K.C. Road in Talapady, leading him to lodge a complaint at the Ullal police station.

Following the investigation, the police arrested four individuals: Annappa Swamy alias Manu (24) from Idya Ishwar Nagar, Sachin (24) from Padil, Kushith (18) from Kodi in Fajir, and a minor. While Kushith was released on bail, the investigation led to Arjun Madoor’s arrest.

The accused are now in judicial custody as investigations continue.
