Ullal: The administrative board of Sri Koragajja Daiva’s Adisthala in Kuthar has lodged a complaint with the Cyber Economic and Narcotics (CEN) Police Station against an organization for ‘illegally’ collecting donations from the public under the name “Devotees of Kuthar Koragajja” contrary to the board’s procedures.
The Koragajja administration clarified that it does not collect any donations online for any purpose.
The complaint stated that the Facebook account “Devotees of Kuthar Koragajja” has been misleading the public by collecting donations in the name of the deity, exploiting the public’s devotion to Koragajja Daiva.
The complaint further highlighted that collecting donations in the name of the sacred site through social media is illegal. It called for an appropriate investigation and action.
The CEN police have registered the case and initiated an investigation.
