Ullal: A food delivery executive died in a car-bike collision in Kallkatta of Manjanady under Konaje police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Kumar, a native of Kozhikhode. He was currently residing in a rented house in Santhoshnagar at Kuthar.
Kumar was a food delivery executive and also worked at a hotel in Deralakatte.
Anil was delivering food to a customer from Kallkatta at 11 p.m on Thursday, February 9, when his two-wheeler was hit by a car. Anil sustained a severe head injury after being pushed into the vicinity of a house compound due to the impact.
Anil was taken to a nearby hospital. However, he passed away at around 1.45 am.
The hotel owner and the other staff members of Juice Magic, Ice-Magic, and Burger Point paid their final respects to him by closing their businesses. Anil’s mother allegedly passed away a few months ago.
Sajid, the owner of the hotel, had found a woman for Anil to marry. Anil had therefore visited a few temples in Kozhikode on February 8 before returning to work yesterday, on February 9, in the evening.
A case has been registered.
