Ullal: Man succumbs to injuries sustained in road accident

Ullal: A 27-year-old man who had been critically injured in a road accident breathed his last on July 2.

The deceased, Ganesh Acharya (27), a resident of Akshara Nagar, Pavoor Malaru, who was seriously injured in an accident between a tipper truck and a scooter, on Jun2 28.

He had been admitted to the ICU at First Neuro Hospital, but could not be saved.

The accident occurred on June 28, when Ganesh was traveling from Pavoor Harekala to Konaje around 11:50 AM. Near the Harekala Gram Panchayat office, the tipper truck driver suddenly applied the brakes, causing Ganesh’s scooter to collide and throw him onto the road, resulting in severe injuries.

The tipper driver and locals immediately rushed him to Natekal Kanachur Hospital, and then he was transferred to First Neuro Hospital in Adyar for further treatment.

Ganesh, an AC mechanic in Mangaluru, was the eldest son and the breadwinner of his family. He leaves behind his mother, father, brother, and sister.

A case has been registered against the tipper truck driver, Muhammad Hanif.

To foot the medical expenses of surgery and medical, Genash’s friends had launched a campaign, seeking donations through WhatsApp, which was estimated to cost Rs. 10 lakhs.
