Ullal: Meat merchant attacked; three arrested

Ullal: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the attack on a meat merchant at Thokkotu.

Nazir (47), a resident of Halekote, is the victim.

On Thursday (June 18) night, Nazir had stepped out for a stroll when two persons arrived on a bike and assaulted him with swords. A seriously injured Nazir was rushed to a Deralakatte hospital where he is being treated. Doctors have said that he is out of danger.

As per the police, the attack took place due to a family feud, relating to a timber mill on T C Road. A quarrel had taken place between family members four days ago.

Police have arrested three in connection with the case.
