Ullal: One arrested for peddling MDMA

Mangaluru: A 33-year-old man was arrested for MDMA drug trafficking, CCB police said on December 30.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Rameez alias Lemon Tea Rameez, a resident of Ullal, was nabbed from Deralakatte while attempting to sell the illegal drug, police added. CCB police said they raided the spot following a credible tip.

As much as 100 grams of MDMA worth Rs 5 Lakhs, two mobile phones, digital weighing scale were seized from him. The total value of the confiscated items is Rs 5.11 lakhs, police said.

Rameez has had previous run-ins with the law, with cases registered at Konaje and Ullal police stations, they added.
