Ullal: Qazi Fazal Koyamma Thangal passes away

Ullal: Fazal Koyamma Thangal (65), who served as the Qazi of Ullal, passed away on Monday (July 8) in Ettikulam.
He was the son of the late Taj-ul-Ulama Sayyid Abdul Rahiman Kunhi Koya Thangal, who served as the Ullal Qazi. During his father’s tenure, Fazal Koyamma Thangal worked as an assistant Qazi.
After the death of Taj-ul-Ulama Sayyid Abdul Rahiman Kunhi Koya Thangal in 2014, Fazal Koyamma Thangal took over as the Qazi of Ullal. He also ran the Fazal Educational Centre in Koorath, Puttur taluk, for several years.
Due to health complications, he was admitted to a hospital in Kerala, where he passed away on Monday morning.
His final rites and public viewing will be held tonight at 9 PM in Koorath, Puttur taluk.
Speaker U.T. Khader, Ullal Dargah President Hanif Haji, General Secretary Shihabuddin Sakhafi, Treasurer Nazim Mukacheri, Vice President Ashraf, Secretary Mustafa Madani, former Ullal Dargah President Kanachur Monu, Rashid Ullal, and others expressed their condolences on his passing.
