Ullal: Road accident victim dies after seven months in coma

Ullal: A woman, who had been in a coma for seven months after being injured in a motorbike accident, passed away at a hospital in Deralakatte here on Saturday, June 25.
The deceased was identified as Pallavi (25) of Sarawat Colony in Kolya.
She had met with an accident near Kolya on December 2, 2021, while returning home from work in Mangaluru. When crossing the National Highway her mobile phone slipped from her hands and when she bent down to pick it up, a two-wheeler hit her.
The motorbike rider, Vijesh (31) of Kumpala Ashraya Colony, had died on the spot.
Pallavi, who sustained severe head injuries, was rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte. She went into a coma and had been treated in the ICU ward. She breathed her last on Saturday without responding to treatment.
A case has been registered in the Naguri Traffic police station.
