Ullal shootout case: Suhail Kandak arrested

Ullal: Suhail Kandak, who was admitted in a hospital in connection after getting injured in a shootout incident that occurred late on the night of Sep 22nd at Mukkacheri here has been arrested by Ulal police on Thursday.
It is alleged that, Suhail, who is the state chief secretary of youth Congress had opened fire in connection to an argument regarding a WhatsApp status.
He had come in an Innova car from Mangaluru to Mukkacheri along with his friend Basheer and others and confronted Salman of the opposite party. Later, he had argued with some people who were there which soon blew out of proportions and in the melee, Suhail removed his revolver and opened fire which ended up injuring Irshad on his right leg and a case in this connection was registered by the injured who was admitted in the hospital.
During the incident a fight had broken out between the two groups and the car in which Suhail had arrived had been damaged. Suhail too was injured during the fight. Later, the cops had arrested members of either groups on the charges of firing and assault.
The police have now arrested Suhail as he has recovered from his injuries at the hospital.
