Ullal: Two bike riders were injured in an accident between a tempo-rickshaw and a bike near Kolya on National Highway 66.

The injured bikers – identified as Lennon and Shodhan, residents of Neermarga — are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thokottu.

Though the bike was mangled in the crash, the riders were saved from critical head injuries as they were wearing helmets.

The mishap occurred when the tempo which was moving towards Kolya from Talapadi, took a turn at a junction on National Highway.  The bike which was moving towards Kasaragod collided with it.
