Ullal: Two BJP workers were attacked with knives by a group near Boliyar in the Konaje police station limits on Sunday night.
The injured, Harish from Inoli Dharmanagar and Nandan Kumar, have been admitted to a hospital in Deralakatte.
Incident Details
The incident occurred during a victory procession organized by the BJP Grama Samiti of Boliyar to celebrate the swearing-in of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the victory of Dakshina Kannada MP Brijesh Chowta. The procession took place from Cheluru to Dharmanagar via Boliyar.
After the rally, Harish and Nandan were returning home when they stopped at Boliyar Cross to purchase some items.
While they were returning home, a group reportedly noticed them wearing saffron shawls, stopped them, and intimidated them. The group then stabbed Harish in the stomach and Nandan in the back. The attackers fled the scene after the incident, creating a tense atmosphere in the area.
