A shocking incident of murder has come to light on Thursday evening from Ullal-Kotepura under the Ullala police station.
The deceased is suspected to be a Delhi-based woman aged 35-40. She was found stabbed to death in a rented house near the bus stand. The police suspect that Naeem, who was living with her, had committed the murder and has since fled the scene.
The couple had reportedly arrived in Kotepura and had rented a house from Hamid, on the recommendation of a local salon owner, just two days prior to the incident. The couple had told Hamid that they were textile merchants and were waiting for a consignment to arrive.
The person who had come with the woman had identified himself as Naeem (35), who is now a prime suspect in the case.
The incident came to light when a young man living near the rented house noticed that nobody had come out of the house all day. Upon checking, he discovered the dead body of the woman in the toilet, with stab wounds. The police were immediately informed, and they arrived on the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
The police have registered a case in the Ullala Police Station regarding the incident and have called in experts from the fingerprint department, forensic department, and dog squad to aid in the investigation.
