Ullal: Youth attacked by group after filing death threat complaint

Mangaluru: Hours after a 25-year-old youth filed a death threat complaint, a group of assailants attempted to murder him.

The victim is identified as Rifayeez. The accused have been identified as Ullal residents Jaldi Irfan and Zulwan.

Earlier on Saturday, July 25, Kadapur resident Shameer, Arfan and 6 others had allegedly threatened to kill Rifayeez along with his family members. They had allegedly threatened that he would be killed the same way that gangster Target Ilyas had been killed in his home.

As per sources, the incident took place on Sunday, July 26 at Melangadi in Ullal near here. Rifayeez was outside his home when the assailants attacked him, hitting him on the chest and ears.

Rifayeez is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thokkottu.
