Moodbidri: Mulki-Moodbidri BJP candidate Umanath Kotian won by a margin of over 22,000 votes and defeated Congress’ Abhayachandra Jain.
Umanath secured 51,351 votes while Abhayachandra secured 31,371 votes.
In Mangaluru Constituency, sitting MLA U T Khader defeated BJP’s Santosh Kumar Rai.
Khader secured 35,594 votes while Santosh Rai got 20,561 votes.
JD(S) candidate K Ashraf managed to secure 2,028 votes.
