Union Govt to issue Indian Citizenship for 8, 000 Bangladeshi migrants

Koppal: Union government has decided to issue Indian citizenship to 8,000 Bangladeshi migrants residing at RH camp in Sindhanur Taluk of Raichur district which comes under Koppal loka sabha constituency.

As many as 20,000 migrants have been residing at RH camp since former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s regime in the country. Out of 20, 000 it has been found that 8, 000 migrants don’t have government facilities like ration card, Aadhar and others. Considering the issue Koppal Member of Parliament Karadi Sanganna raised the matter in the parliament and with union home minister recently. Reacting to the issue, union government has decided to issue India citizenship to 8000 migrants from Bangladesh. The migrants are depend upon daily labour for their livelihood.
