Union Home Ministry Asks Karnataka Govt to Submit Report on Gauri Lankesh Murder

New Delhi/Bengaluru: Union Home Ministry has asked Karnataka State government on Wednesday to submit a detailed report on brutal murder of senior journalist, social activist Gauri Lankesh. Union home minister Rajnath Singh has asked union home secretary Rajiv Gauba to ask for a detailed report on the murder as the incident has grabbed the attention of the entire nation.
As a precautionary measure, the union home ministry asked the state government to provide all information inconnection with the murder, sources said. Meanwhile, union minister for Chemicals and Fertilizer, BJP leader, Ananth Kumar condemned the murder and urged Karnataka state government to hold impartial investigation into the case to nab the culprits immediately as the Congress led state government failed to do in the past inconnection with many other murders.
