Unique election awareness: Youth cycles from B’luru to M’luru to cast his vote

Mangaluru: In a unique attempt to spread awareness on the importance of voting, a youth cycled from all his way from Bengaluru to the city to cast his vote on the polling day, Thursday April 18. Aniket J (29) from Vamanjoor is the youth who achieved this singular act by casting his vote at St Joseph School, Vamanjoor.
Son of Shekhar and Neela couple from Vamanjoor, Aniket took up this challenge with the aim to create awareness among the people about the need to exercise the right to vote in the election and reached the polling booth in his bicycle.
The journey
Aniket commenced his journey from Bengaluru at 4:45 am on April 17th and stayed overnight at Sakleshpur. He then continued his journey at 3:30 am on April 18th and reached the city in the afternoon at 1:45 pm. He finally cast his vote for the candidate of his choice at 2:30 pm in the afternoon. Aniket undertook his journey backed by the slogan, ‘Your Vote Your Voice’.
