Uppala: Absconding accused arrested after 8 years

Uppala: An accused absconding for 8 years was arrested by Majeshwar police.
Abdul Hameed (50), a resident of Puttur Darbe, was accused of marrying a second time without the knowledge of his first wife. A case has been registered against him on a complaint by his first wife at the Manjeshwar police station.
The complaint alleged that Hameed had married another woman in 2014 without the knowledge of his first wife. However, following this, he went into hiding.
A court had issued a warrant for his arrest.
Manjeshwar police said that the accused was nabbed from Puttur based on a piece of credible information.
