Uppinangady: Mother-daughter duo repaired potholed roads near their house

Uppinangady: An ASHA worker Anantavati and her mother Sesamma have repaired the potholes on the Kadaba-Subramanya State Highway that was damaged by heavy rains.
Both the mother-daughter duo filled up the potholes on the stretch of the road at Kindovini near Periyadka with stones and mud.
Anantavati said that every year during the monsoon the roads develop potholes and accidents occur. As her house is nearby the loud noises of the wheels jerking when stumbling over the potholes scares them and brings back memories of previous gory accidents.
“Hence to ensure that accidents do not occur again, we decided to fill up the potholes ourselves as social service,” she added.
