Uppinangady: Thieves decamp with cash, jewellery worth Rs 5.87 lakh from locked house

Uppinangady: Thieves broke into a house in Golithottu village and decamped with cash and gold jewellery worth Rs 5.87 lakh.
The theft occurred at the house of Jijin Abraham alias GGKA, a resident of Kalail, Golitottu village.
On Friday, January 13, Jijin had gone to Dharmasthala’s naturopathy clinic to take care of his father-in-law who was undergoing treatment there. He had dropped his wife and children at their other house in Arla, Konalu village.
On Saturday, January 14, when he returned home, the theft came to light.
Thieves stole Gold jewellery worth Rs 4.65 lakh, Rs 50,000 cash and other items from the house.
A case has been registered.
