Uppinangady: Truck crashes into roadside shop

Uppinangady: A truck lost control and crashed into a roadside shop in Shiradi village’s Addahole allegedly after its steering broke.

The truck, carrying red soil towards Bengaluru, encountered the issue near Gundya while crossing the Addahole bridge in Shiradi village. The broken steering caused the driver to lose control, resulting in the truck crashing into a tyre repair shop and a hotel beside the highway.

At the time of the incident, two women were inside the shop. They noticed the danger in time and managed to escape unharmed.

The crash caused damage to both the shops. The truck driver, Karthik, also escaped without injuries.

Nelyadi outpost police visited the scene and conducted an inspection.
