Uppunda: A wedding scheduled for Monday, August 19, was cancelled after the groom went missing.

The wedding between a young woman from Uppunda village and a man from Alivekodi village was set to take place in Nagoor. The groom, employed in a private company, had earlier agreed to the marriage in consultation with both families.

Preparations for the Mehndi ceremony were underway on August 18 at the groom’s house. The groom had collected the necessary gold ornaments from a shop but still owed Rs 20,000 to the jeweller. He left the house, leaving behind his mobile phone and a gold bracelet, and mentioned that he needed to purchase a few more items.

As the groom did not return, his family became anxious and started searching for him. It was later discovered that he was missing. Friends of the groom revealed that he was a calm individual but had some mental health issues. The wedding guests returned home after learning about his disappearance.
