Mangaluru: Congress MLA UT Khader lashed out at the state government for denying permission for an event to mark D K Shivakumar’s official takeover as party president.”
“Preparations for the June 14 event, during which DK Shivakumar would assume charge via digital mode were underway. The state government has however denied permission for the same,” Khader said.
Further he alleged that there were no impediments to BJP leaders holding events but legal issues are being cited for DK Shivakumar’s programme.
“The ruling-BJP dispensation is afraid of DK Shivakumar. It is citing COVID-19 control measures for denying permission. State government is committing a big mistake,” said Khader adding that the swearing-in event will be held in the coming days
