UTK lays foundation stone for Kankanady market

Kankanady: District in-charge minister U T Khader laid the foundation stone for Kankanady Market and Commercial Complex here in the city on Thursday February 28.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Khader said, “During the last five years, MCC has taken up several development works in Mangaluru and provided all types of basic facilities. Urwa and Kavoor markets have been inaugurated. Kadri and Chilimbi markets will be inaugurated soon. Every corporator has a vision to have a hi-tech market in their respective wards. At the same time we should create an atmosphere for investors in city with a view of growth in economy. Two days back only we had laid foundation stone for development works worth Rs 850 crore.”
MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Bhaskar Moily, Corporators Asha D Silva, Sabitha Misquith, Appi, Prathibha Kulai, Naveen D’Souza and others were present on the occasion.
