Puttur: Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor and the Block Education Officer (BEO) Lokesh visited the semi-collapsed house of Deeksha Shetty on the same day her story was published.

A part of Shetty’s house had collapsed on June 28 after being battered by heavy rains.

Deeksha was worried about her and her brother studies and preparation for the upcoming SSLC examination.

The news report also brought many community NGOs to her aid.

The Puttur Buntar Sangh has assured to reconstruct the house while another organisation has promised temporary shelter to the family.

The local BJP Yuva Morcha unit also provided food kits to her family.
