Vaishno Devi online helicopter booking scam; Bengaluru-based techie cheated

Bengaluru: A Bengaluru-based techie duped by online fraudsters selling fake helicopter tickets to visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.

It is said that the victim searched for helicopter booking sites on google and came across a site that offered online helicopter tickets.

A man named Nitin called the victim and asked him to pay Rs 38,060 as an advance fee. Later, when the victim called Nitin, his phone was switched off.

The victim then called the Vaishno Devi temple authorities and found that he was cheated.

He then filed a police complaint.
