“Love is in the Air… And it Smells like French Fries”

This isn’t what we’re saying. The creators of a new perfume claim to be using the scent of French Fries, which are enjoyed by millions of people all over the world.

Frites by Idaho is a limited-edition perfume that may be purchased on the Idaho Potato Commission’s website.

“Distilled Idaho potatoes and essential oils” were used to create the limited-edition fragrance. It comes in a 1.7-ounce crystalline container with a sophisticated design.

The perfume, according to the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC), was released just in time for Valentine’s Day and is only available on the IPC’s website.

Idaho’s growing season of warm days and chilly nights, combined with mountain-fed irrigation and volcanic soil, according to the firm, gives potatoes their “unique texture, taste, and dependable performance.”

“The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) has bottled one of the world’s most irresistible scents, fresh Idaho® Potato French fries just in time for Valentine’s Day. Frites by Idaho is a limited-edition fragrance available only on the IPC’s website,” reads a statement on the website.

According to the commission, nearly 90% of Americans can’t get enough of the fragrance of salty French fries, as per a recent nationwide poll performed by Pollfish.

“Whether you’re at a drive-through restaurant or dining in, it’s near impossible to not grab a fry and take a bite before you dive into your meal. The smell is too good to resist,” explained Jamey Higham, president, and CEO, IPC. “This perfume is a great gift for anyone who can’t refuse a French fry,” he added.
